Is it good to you that you should oppress, that you should despise the work of your hands, and shine on the counsel of the wicked?

You know that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of your hand.

Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.

God has delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.

Know now that God has overthrown me, and has compassed me with his net.

So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.

Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.

Shall even he that hates right govern? and will you condemn him that is most just?

Against you, you only, have I sinned, and done this evil in your sight: that you might be justified when you speak, and be clear when you judge.

For the LORD of hosts has purposed, and who shall cancel it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing whip shall pass through, then you shall be trodden down by it.

Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare you, that you may be justified.

Woe to him that strives with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashions it, What make you? or your work, He has no hands?

God forbid: yes, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That you might be justified in your sayings, and might overcome when you are judged.

Brothers, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man cancels, or adds thereto.

And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot cancel, that it should make the promise of none effect.

For there is truly a cancellation of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
