For he will not lay on man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.

And after all that is come on us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that you our God have punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and have given us such deliverance as this;

For he knows vain men: he sees wickedness also; will he not then consider it?

And that he would show you the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacts of you less than your iniquity deserves.

O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleads for his neighbor!

There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge.

He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.

If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.

Righteous are you, O LORD, and upright are your judgments.

A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment to truth.

Thus said the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

No but, O man, who are you that reply against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why have you made me thus?
