Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yes, and searched it out.

Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.

For he makes small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapor thereof:

Also can any understand the spreading of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?

With clouds he covers the light; and commands it not to shine by the cloud that comes between.

Also by watering he wearies the thick cloud: he scatters his bright cloud:

Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goes out of his mouth.

He directs it under the whole heaven, and his lightning to the ends of the earth.

After it a voice roars: he thunders with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.

For he said to the snow, Be you on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

Who has divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;

To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;

To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?

He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; he makes lightning for the rain; he brings the wind out of his treasuries.

Fire, and hail; snow, and vapors; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? are not you he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait on you: for you have made all these things.

And also I have withheld the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain on one city, and caused it not to rain on another city: one piece was rained on, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.

Ask you of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
