It is as high as heaven; what can you do? deeper than hell; what can you know?

Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears.

For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest,

For it is a fire that consumes to destruction, and would root out all my increase.

Have the gates of death been opened to you? or have you seen the doors of the shadow of death?

Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?

Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.

Hell from beneath is moved for you to meet you at your coming: it stirs up the dead for you, even all the chief ones of the earth; it has raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

He reveals the deep and secret things: he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.

Though they dig into hell, there shall my hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, there will I bring them down:

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened to the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue has his name Apollyon.
