He divides the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smites through the proud.

With him is wisdom and strength, he has counsel and understanding.

The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.

If God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him.

The LORD sits on the flood; yes, the LORD sits King for ever.

You did divide the sea by your strength: you brake the heads of the dragons in the waters.

For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be on every one that is proud and lofty, and on every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

But I am the LORD your God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is his name.

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Are you not it that has cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?

Thus said the LORD, which gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divides the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:

Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

But he gives more grace. Why he said, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
