Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?

Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?

Shall vain words have an end? or what emboldens you that you answer?

How long will it be ere you make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.

How long will you speak these things? and how long shall the words of your mouth be like a strong wind?

Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

In the multitude of words there wants not sin: but he that refrains his lips is wise.

Keep your foot when you go to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.

For a dream comes through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words.

Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seems to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached to them Jesus, and the resurrection.

Why, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
