James 5:7

Be patient therefore, brothers, to the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he has given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your corn, and your wine, and your oil.

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, to all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness;

And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

Therefore be you also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes.

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come to us as the rain, as the latter and former rain to the earth.

To the end he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

For whatever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Ask you of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

So that you come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man comes, shall he find faith on the earth?

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Truly I say to you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Jesus said to him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to you? follow you me.

Then went this saying abroad among the brothers, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not to him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to you?

Speak not evil one of another, brothers. He that speaks evil of his brother, and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law, and judges the law: but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge.

Your gold and silver is corroded; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. You have heaped treasure together for the last days.

Take, my brothers, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
