He feeds on ashes: a deceived heart has turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

But he said, Yes rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

If you know these things, happy are you if you do them.

(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. Rom 2:14: For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law to themselves:

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap.

Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that does good is of God: but he that does evil has not seen God.

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keeps the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
