And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said to him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be you perfect.

There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest.

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.

The way of the just is uprightness: you, most upright, do weigh the path of the just.

Thus said the LORD, Stand you in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

They have set her a bed in the middle of the slain with all her multitude: her graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword: though their terror was caused in the land of the living, yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit: he is put in the middle of them that be slain.

But go you your way till the end be: for you shall rest, and stand in your lot at the end of the days.

His lord said to him, Well done, you good and faithful servant: you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter you into the joy of your lord.

And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

Lord, now let you your servant depart in peace, according to your word:

And he said to the woman, Your faith has saved you; go in peace.

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

For I am in a strait between two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from now on: Yes, said the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.
