Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

And he went out to meet Asa, and said to him, Hear you me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while you be with him; and if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.

But when they in their trouble did turn to the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.

If you return to the Almighty, you shall be built up, you shall put away iniquity far from your tabernacles.

But there is forgiveness with you, that you may be feared.

Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your loving kindness: according to the multitude of your tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.

If you be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land:

For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall join to the house of Jacob.

The watchman said, The morning comes, and also the night: if you will inquire, inquire you: return, come.

Turn you to him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.

The instruments also of the churl are evil: he devises wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaks right.

Speak you comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry to her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she has received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.

I, even I, am he that blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and will not remember your sins.

I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins: return to me; for I have redeemed you.

For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, said the LORD that has mercy on you.

In a little wrath I hid my face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on you, said the LORD your Redeemer.

Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?

Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.

Turn, O backsliding children, said the LORD; for I am married to you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

Therefore the showers have been withheld, and there has been no latter rain; and you had a whore's forehead, you refused to be ashamed.

O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts lodge within you?

Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.

Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus said the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.

Say to them, As I live, said the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn you, turn you from your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel?

Why, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to you, and break off your sins by righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of your tranquility.

And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do to them; and he did it not.

And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, said the LORD.

But go you and learn what that means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents.

For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

Why I say to you, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.

But showed first to them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

Repent you therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.
