Listen not to Hezekiah: for thus said the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me: and eat you every one of his vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink you every one the waters of his own cistern;

And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray you, take a blessing of your servant.

Whoever keeps the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waits on his master shall be honored.

Drink waters out of your own cistern, and running waters out of your own well.

Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards.

But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken it.

In that day, said the LORD of hosts, shall you call every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.

Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brothers, that they would go before to you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof you had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.

And the elders of Jabesh said to him, Give us seven days' respite, that we may send messengers to all the coasts of Israel: and then, if there be no man to save us, we will come out to you.

And now this blessing which your handmaid has brought to my lord, let it even be given to the young men that follow my lord.
