O clap your hands, all you people; shout to God with the voice of triumph.

O sing to the LORD a new song; for he has done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, has gotten him the victory.

When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

A grievous vision is declared to me; the treacherous dealer deals treacherously, and the spoiler spoils. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.

Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD has comforted his people, and will have mercy on his afflicted.

Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the spoilers shall come to her from the north, said the LORD.

Thus said the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate.

And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sits still, and is at rest.

Rejoice over her, you heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets; for God has avenged you on her.
