Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increases that which is not his! how long? and to him that lades himself with thick clay!

LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

He that oppresses the poor to increase his riches, and he that gives to the rich, shall surely come to want.

For he said, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:

He feeds on ashes: a deceived heart has turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

Woe to them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place, that they may be placed alone in the middle of the earth!

Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goes by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.

The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the middle of hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.

In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he has changed the portion of my people: how has he removed it from me! turning away he has divided our fields.

They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.

Woe to him that builds a town with blood, and establishes a city by iniquity!

Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labor in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?

And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; listen to me, you son of Zippor:

And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab has brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.

But God said to him, You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you: then whose shall those things be, which you have provided?

But the end of all things is at hand: be you therefore sober, and watch to prayer.
