While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

For these two years has the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be ripening nor harvest.

Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest: in ripening time and in harvest you shall rest.

Thus said the LORD, which gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divides the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:

Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that gives rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserves to us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

Be patient therefore, brothers, to the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
