And Judah spoke to him, saying, The man did solemnly protest to us, saying, You shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.

And it came to pass, when they had eaten up the corn which they had brought out of Egypt, their father said to them, Go again, buy us a little food.

If you will send our brother with us, we will go down and buy you food:

But if you will not send him, we will not go down: for the man said to us, You shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.

And you said to your servants, Except your youngest brother come down with you, you shall see my face no more.

And the king said, Let him turn to his own house, and let him not see my face. So Absalom returned to his own house, and saw not the king's face.

So Absalom dwelled two full years in Jerusalem, and saw not the king's face.

And Absalom answered Joab, Behold, I sent to you, saying, Come here, that I may send you to the king, to say, Why am I come from Geshur? it had been good for me to have been there still: now therefore let me see the king's face; and if there be any iniquity in me, let him kill me.

And he said, Well; I will make a league with you: but one thing I require of you, that is, You shall not see my face, except you first bring Michal Saul's daughter, when you come to see my face.

And now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spoke, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him to the ship.

I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send you into Egypt.
