And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from there; that we may live, and not die.

And Joseph's ten brothers went down to buy corn in Egypt.

And it came to pass, when they had eaten up the corn which they had brought out of Egypt, their father said to them, Go again, buy us a little food.

If you will send our brother with us, we will go down and buy you food:

And Judah said to Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we, and you, and also our little ones.

Haste you, and go up to my father, and say to him, Thus said your son Joseph, God has made me lord of all Egypt: come down to me, tarry not:

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

But when Jacob heard that there was corn in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first.
