If you buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.

Therefore God give you of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:

And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he has supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he has taken away my blessing. And he said, Have you not reserved a blessing for me?

Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets to Elisha, saying, Your servant my husband is dead; and you know that your servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take to him my two sons to be slaves.

And I said to them, We after our ability have redeemed our brothers the Jews, which were sold to the heathen; and will you even sell your brothers? or shall they be sold to us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing to answer.

But every man's servant that is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.

If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him.

And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do.

If the sun be risen on him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.

And if he be not redeemed in these years, then he shall go out in the year of jubilee, both he, and his children with him.

But for as much as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

At the end of every seven years you shall make a release.

It shall not seem hard to you, when you send him away free from you; for he has been worth a double hired servant to you, in serving you six years: and the LORD your God shall bless you in all that you do.

And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,
