So will I make my holy name known in the middle of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.

And you shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shall you profane the name of your God: I am the LORD.

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, said the LORD of hosts.

Moreover I call God for a record on my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet to Corinth.

You shall fear the LORD your God; him shall you serve, and to him shall you hold, and swear by his name.

You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain.

You shall fear the LORD your God, and serve him, and shall swear by his name.

But above all things, my brothers, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yes be yes; and your no, no; lest you fall into condemnation.

Now therefore, I pray you, swear to me by the LORD, since I have showed you kindness, that you will also show kindness to my father's house, and give me a true token:

And the men said to her, We will be blameless of this your oath which you have made us swear.

This we will do to them; we will even let them live, lest wrath be on us, because of the oath which we swore to them.
