Deuteronomy 7:5

But thus shall you deal with them; you shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.

And when they had left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire.

For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and broke down the images, and cut down the groves:

You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but you shall utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and strewed it on the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it.

But you shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:

And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images.

You shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither raise you up a standing image, neither shall you set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down to it: for I am the LORD your God.

Then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:

You shall not plant you a grove of any trees near to the altar of the LORD your God, which you shall make you.

Neither shall you set you up any image; which the LORD your God hates.

The graven images of their gods shall you burn with fire: you shall not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it to you, lest you be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD your God.

And I took your sin, the calf which you had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount.
