You shall not see your brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide yourself from them: you shall in any case bring them again to your brother.

Your own friend, and your father's friend, forsake not; neither go into your brother's house in the day of your calamity: for better is a neighbor that is near than a brother far off.

And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he gives of his seed to Molech, and kill him not:

Or have found that which was lost, and lies concerning it, and swears falsely; in any of all these that a man does, sinning therein:

Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and show mercy and compassions every man to his brother:

But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

But he answered and said, I am not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

For it is written in the law of Moses, You shall not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treads out the corn. Does God take care for oxen?

And if your brother be not near to you, or if you know him not, then you shall bring it to your own house, and it shall be with you until your brother seek after it, and you shall restore it to him again.

For you were as sheep going astray; but are now returned to the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
