For the LORD your God blesses you, as he promised you: and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you.

And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

Now therefore let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may be before you for ever: for you bless, O LORD, and it shall be blessed for ever.

And he reigned over all the kings from the river even to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.

There have been mighty kings also over Jerusalem, which have ruled over all countries beyond the river; and toll, tribute, and custom, was paid to them.

Therefore you delivered them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried to you, you heard them from heaven; and according to your manifold mercies you gave them saviors, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.

A good man shows favor, and lends: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

The wicked borrows, and pays not again: but the righteous shows mercy, and gives.

He is ever merciful, and lends; and his seed is blessed.

The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

But love you your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind to the unthankful and to the evil.

Only if you carefully listen to the voice of the LORD your God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command you this day.

He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him: he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.
