Till now is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.

And he told it to his father, and to his brothers: and his father rebuked him, and said to him, What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow down ourselves to you to the earth?

And his brothers envied him; but his father observed the saying.

And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spoke, and said to him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned on me, and I have retained no strength.

Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.

And both of these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.

But go you your way till the end be: for you shall rest, and stand in your lot at the end of the days.

And he said, Go your way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given to him; and let seven times pass over him.

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonished for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spoke, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble you. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate you, and the interpretation thereof to your enemies.

Then the king's countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.

I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the middle of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared to me, even to me Daniel, after that which appeared to me at the first.

So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell on my face: but he said to me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

And he said, Behold, I will make you know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.

And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.

But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.

And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.
