Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for them that fear you; which you have worked for them that trust in you before the sons of men!

Sell that you have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that fails not, where no thief approaches, neither moth corrupts.

The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

Men and brothers, children of the stock of Abraham, and whoever among you fears God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brothers, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, If you, being a Jew, live after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compel you the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

If so be that you have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

If you continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when you received the word of God which you heard of us, you received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually works also in you that believe.

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which has loved us, and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

From now on there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but to all them also that love his appearing.

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw near to God.

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that you may grow thereby:

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Why I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though you know them, and be established in the present truth.

And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
