Then the chief captain took him by the hand, and went with him aside privately, and asked him, What is that you have to tell me?

Then the king said to me, For what do you make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.

Then said the king to her, What will you, queen Esther? and what is your request? it shall be even given you to the half of the kingdom.

And the king said again to Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is your petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted you: and what is your request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.

And the king said to Esther the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest of the king's provinces? now what is your petition? and it shall be granted you: or what is your request further? and it shall be done.

And they took him, and brought him to Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof you speak, is?

So he took him, and brought him to the chief captain, and said, Paul the prisoner called me to him, and prayed me to bring this young man to you, who has something to say to you.

And he said, The Jews have agreed to desire you that you would bring down Paul to morrow into the council, as though they would inquire somewhat of him more perfectly.
