After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

And from there to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days.

And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,

But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that comes in Jerusalem: but I will return again to you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.

So he sent into Macedonia two of them that ministered to him, Timotheus and Erastus; but he himself stayed in Asia for a season.

And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.

For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hurried, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.

And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:

And when we were come to Jerusalem, the brothers received us gladly.

And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem.

And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as you have testified of me in Jerusalem, so must you bear witness also at Rome.

And when it was determined that we should sail into Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners to one named Julius, a centurion of Augustus' band.

Saying, Fear not, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar: and, see, God has given you all them that sail with you.

And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him.

For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, to the end you may be established;

Now I would not have you ignorant, brothers, that oftentimes I purposed to come to you, (but was let till now,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.

So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

Now I will come to you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia.

But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power.

To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man's line of things made ready to our hand.

Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.

So that you were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
