Acts 15:22

Then pleased it the apostles and elders with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas and Silas, chief men among the brothers:

And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them: as whatever the king did pleased all the people.

Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the LORD.

And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation.

And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

Now they which were scattered abroad on the persecution that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but to the Jews only.

And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spoke to the Grecians, preaching the LORD Jesus.

Then tidings of these things came to the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem to Antioch.

And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brothers send greeting to the brothers which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia.

It seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.

And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy to all the brothers.

So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the letter:

And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brothers with many words, and confirmed them.

And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brothers to the grace of God.

And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace to the rulers,

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises to God: and the prisoners heard them.

Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,

And the brothers immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night to Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.

And then immediately the brothers sent away Paul to go as it were to the sea: but Silas and Timotheus stayed there still.

And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.

And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.

Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John:

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yes and no, but in him was yes.
