And the king called for Jehoiada the chief, and said to him, Why have you not required of the Levites to bring in out of Judah and out of Jerusalem the collection, according to the commandment of Moses the servant of the LORD, and of the congregation of Israel, for the tabernacle of witness?

And the next day he showed himself to them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, you are brothers; why do you wrong one to another?

Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

With all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another in love;

So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.

Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do you.

But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherishes her children:

But you, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;

For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;

Holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the disputers.

To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, showing all meekness to all men.

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
