You know Abner the son of Ner, that he came to deceive you, and to know your going out and your coming in, and to know all that you do.

And when Abner was returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him quietly, and smote him there under the fifth rib, that he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother.

Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey, that you may live, and not die: and listen not to Hezekiah, when he persuades you, saying, The LORD will deliver us.

The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even for ever more.

But I know your stayed, and your going out, and your coming in, and your rage against me.

Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd.

And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, No; but he deceives the people.

Then answered them the Pharisees, Are you also deceived?

Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are that judge: for wherein you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you that judge do the same things.

Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
