For when David was up in the morning, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying,

And the LORD sent Nathan to David. And he came to him, and said to him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.

Go and say to David, Thus said the LORD, I offer you three things; choose you one of them, that I may do it to you.

And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took to him Ephrath, which bore him Hur.

And the LORD spoke to Gad, David's seer, saying,

All these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,

And he set the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of Gad the king's seer, and Nathan the prophet: for so was the commandment of the LORD by his prophets.

And the prophet Gad said to David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get you into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.
