And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.

If they sin against you, (for there is no man that sins not,) and you be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives to the land of the enemy, far or near;

And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his own land.

The anger of the LORD has divided them; he will no more regard them: they respected not the persons of the priests, they favored not the elders.

I the LORD have spoken it: it shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent; according to your ways, and according to your doings, shall they judge you, said the Lord GOD.

Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, said the LORD, whose name is The God of hosts.

The LORD shall bring you, and your king which you shall set over you, to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known; and there shall you serve other gods, wood and stone.

And the LORD shall scatter you among all people, from the one end of the earth even to the other; and there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known, even wood and stone.

And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring on it all the curses that are written in this book:

I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto you go over Jordan to possess it; you shall not prolong your days on it, but shall utterly be destroyed.
