Having many things to write to you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come to you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.

With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

These things have I spoken to you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.

Till now have you asked nothing in my name: ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.

And now come I to you; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

He that has the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

Whenever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.

Greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy;

But with prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given to you.

But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.

Know you that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.

And these things write we to you, that your joy may be full.

Why, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he does, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither does he himself receive the brothers, and forbids them that would, and casts them out of the church.
