For the administration of this service not only supplies the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings to God;
You also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed on us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds by Christ.
Praying us with much entreaty that we would receive the gift, and take on us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labor, and fellow soldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.
But whoever has this world's good, and sees his brother have need, and shuts up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwells the love of God in him?
