Why we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

If you do well, shall you not be accepted? and if you do not well, sin lies at the door. And to you shall be his desire, and you shall rule over him.

Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted on my altar; for my house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Labor not for the meat which perishes, but for that meat which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give to you: for him has God the Father sealed.

But in every nation he that fears him, and works righteousness, is accepted with him.

For he that in these things serves Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.

For whether we live, we live to the Lord; and whether we die, we die to the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

Yes, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man's foundation:

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be you steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he has made us accepted in the beloved.

That you might walk worthy of the Lord to all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Whereunto I also labor, striving according to his working, which works in me mightily.

Furthermore then we beseech you, brothers, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as you have received of us how you ought to walk and to please God, so you would abound more and more.

And that you study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, specially of those that believe.

Why we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Why, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
