Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.

And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known to him in a vision, and will speak to him in a dream.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send him to you.

Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.

Then spoke the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not your peace:

And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as you have testified of me in Jerusalem, so must you bear witness also at Rome.

Now, brothers, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?

All things are lawful to me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

I am become a fool in glorying; you have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very most chief apostles, though I be nothing.

Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in my infirmities.

And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest on me.

And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago.

For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

And I went up by revelation, and communicated to them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

How that by revelation he made known to me the mystery; (as I wrote before in few words, Eph 3:4: Whereby, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain to the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

And we know that the Son of God is come, and has given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
