And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning to the LORD God of Israel.

Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against you, and cast your law behind their backs, and slew your prophets which testified against them to turn them to you, and they worked great provocations.

Yet many years did you forbear them, and testified against them by your spirit in your prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gave you them into the hand of the people of the lands.

Give you ear, and hear my voice; listen, and hear my speech.

Who among you will give ear to this? who will listen and hear for the time to come?

From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even to this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of the LORD has come to me, and I have spoken to you, rising early and speaking; but you have not listened.

Yet you have not listened to me, said the LORD; that you might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.

Therefore thus said the LORD of hosts; Because you have not heard my words,

To listen to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent to you, both rising up early, and sending them, but you have not listened;

Be you not as your fathers, to whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus said the LORD of hosts; Turn you now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor listen to me, said the LORD.

Who has ears to hear, let him hear.

And he said to him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
