This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

When Jesus heard it, he said to them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

Why he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come to God by him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them.

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desires a good work.

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that you affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:

To you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God stays on him.

And he that sat on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said to me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

Take heed that you despise not one of these little ones; for I say to you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then has God also to the Gentiles granted repentance to life.

And the apostles and brothers that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.

That you may remember, and be confounded, and never open your mouth any more because of your shame, when I am pacified toward you for all that you have done, said the Lord GOD.

Why I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receives sinners, and eats with them.

If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.

I give you charge in the sight of God, who vivifies all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;

For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
