And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the laborer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

I sent you to reap that where on you bestowed no labor: other men labored, and you are entered into their labors.

But has in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed to me according to the commandment of God our Savior;

For this cause left I you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed you:

These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise you.

Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken to you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
