The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder on them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength to his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

The king shall joy in your strength, O LORD; and in your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

Yet have I set my king on my holy hill of Zion.

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

So let all your enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goes forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he has done, whether it be good or bad.

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

He also exalts the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near to him. Praise you the LORD.

For you are the glory of their strength: and in your favor our horn shall be exalted.

The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

Have you an arm like God? or can you thunder with a voice like him?

The LORD thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice.

He shall build an house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

Now therefore so shall you say to my servant David, Thus said the LORD of hosts, I took you from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:

And the LORD said to Samuel, How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill your horn with oil, and go, I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

And Samuel said to him, The LORD has rent the kingdom of Israel from you this day, and has given it to a neighbor of yours, that is better than you.

So Samuel called to the LORD; and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.

Now therefore behold the king whom you have chosen, and whom you have desired! and, behold, the LORD has set a king over you.

Behold, here I am: witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received any bribe to blind my eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.

You shall be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

In that day will I cause the horn of the house of Israel to bud forth, and I will give you the opening of the mouth in the middle of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Is it not wheat harvest to day? I will call to the LORD, and he shall send thunder and rain; that you may perceive and see that your wickedness is great, which you have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking you a king.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for my anointed.
