But Hannah went not up; for she said to her husband, I will not go up until the child be weaned, and then I will bring him, that he may appear before the LORD, and there abide for ever.

And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. And the child did minister to the LORD before Eli the priest.

But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen ephod.

And David said to Achish, Surely you shall know what your servant can do. And Achish said to David, Therefore will I make you keeper of my head for ever.

And the child Samuel ministered to the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision.
