There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married cares for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

The hireling flees, because he is an hireling, and cares not for the sheep.

Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusts in God, and continues in supplications and prayers night and day.

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that you affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
