Simon Peter, a bondman and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have received an equally precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

to Titus, a genuine child according to the common faith: Grace, mercy, peace from God the Father and Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.

Because of this we have been encouraged. And from your encouragement, we rejoiced to a greater degree more at the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.
