For he will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence.

Our soul has escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers. The snare is broken, and we have escaped.

Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity.

So LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed. And there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men.

If there be famine in the land, if there be pestilence, if there be blight, mildew, locust [or] caterpillar, if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities, whatever plague, whatever sickness there be,

But God will smite through the head of his enemies, the hairy scalp of him who still goes in his guiltiness.
