I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people of my wrath. I will give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

The boar out of the wood ravages it, and the wild beasts of the field feed on it.

How long, O God, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme thy name forever?

Also I said, The thing that ye do is not good. Ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God, because of the reproach of the nations our enemies?

And thou shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all the peoples where LORD shall lead thee away.

And now I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard. I will take away the hedge of it, and it shall be eaten up. I will break down the wall of it, and it shall be trodden down.

LORD has become as an enemy. He has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces. He has destroyed his strongholds. And he has multiplied mourning and lamentation in the daughter of Judah.
