I am reckoned with those who go down into the pit. I am as a man who has no help,

To thee, O LORD, I will call. My rock, be not thou deaf to me, lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like those who go down into the pit.

But we ourselves have had the sentence of death in ourselves, so that we should not be trusting in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead.

He has filled me with bitterness. He has sated me with wormwood.
