Bow down thine ear, O LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.

Bow down thine ear to me. Deliver me speedily. Be thou to me a strong rock, a house of defense to save me.

Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come to thee.

Thou have seen. For thou behold mischief and spite, to repay with thy hand. The poor man commits [himself] to thee. Thou have been the helper of the fatherless.

Turn thee to me, and have mercy upon me, for I am desolate and afflicted.
