For the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, thou have broken as in the day of Midian.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall depart from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of fatness.

Therefore say to the sons of Israel, I am LORD. And I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, because I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye will find rest for your souls.

Though ye lay between two boundaries, [it is as] the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her pinions with yellow gold.

And they made their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field, all their service, with which they made them serve with rigor.

These were the potters, and the inhabitants of Netaim and Gederah. They dwelt there with the king for his work.

When Israel went forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language,

where the tribes go up, even the tribes of LORD, [for] an ordinance for Israel, to give thanks to the name of LORD.
