let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it. Yea, let him tread my life down to the earth, and lay my glory in the dust. Selah.

And ye shall tread down the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I make, says LORD of hosts.

And they shall be as mighty men, treading down [their enemies] in the mire of the streets in the battle. And they shall fight, because LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.

Thou went forth for the salvation of thy people, for the salvation of thine anointed. Thou wound the head out of the house of the wicked man, laying bare the foundation even to the neck. Selah.

O LORD, the hope of Israel, all who forsake thee shall be put to shame. Those who depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken LORD, the fountain of living waters.

I have trodden the winepress alone, and of the peoples there was no man with me. Yea, I trod them in my anger, and trampled them in my wrath, and their lifeblood is sprinkled upon my garments, and I have stained all my raiment.

I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people of my wrath. I will give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

Through God we shall do valiantly, for he it is who will tread down our adversaries.

Even a man in splendor does not abide. He is like the beasts that perish.

Through thee we will push down our adversaries. Through thy name we will tread them under who rise up against us.

Many there are who say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

I have sewed sackcloth upon my skin, and have laid my horn in the dust.

Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand, for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not. Know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in my hand, and I have not sinned

And thou have declared this day how that thou have dealt well with me, inasmuch as when LORD had delivered me up into thy hand, thou killed me not.

And now, behold, I know that thou shall surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in thy hand.
