and hide not thy face from thy servant, for I am in distress. Answer me speedily.
Hide not thy face from me. Put not thy servant away in anger. Thou have been my help. Cast me not off, nor forsake me, O God of my salvation.
Hide not thy face from me in the day of my distress. Incline thine ear to me. In the day when I call answer me speedily.
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a great voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? That is, My God, my God, why have thou forsaken me?
[Hasten], O God, to deliver me. Make haste to help me, O LORD.
Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies. I flee to thee to hide me.
which my lips uttered, and my mouth spoke, when I was in distress.
Why do thou hide thy face, and forget our affliction and our oppression?
Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me. Make haste to help me, O LORD.
How long, O LORD? Will thou forget me forever? How long will thou hide thy face from me?
And why do thou not pardon my transgression, and take away my iniquity? For now I shall lay down in the dust, and thou will seek me diligently, but I shall not be.
Then Jesus says to them, My soul is deeply grieved, as far as of death. Remain ye here and watch with me.
Make haste to answer me, O LORD, my spirit fails. Hide not thy face from me, lest I become like those who go down into the pit.
For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, neither has he hid his face from him, but when he cried to him, he heard.
[It is of] LORD's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassions do not fail.
