Psalm 149:3

Let them praise his name in the dance. Let them sing praises to him with timbrel and harp.

Then the virgin shall rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old together, for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

Raise a song, and bring here the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.

And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

Thou have turned for me my mourning into dancing. Thou have loosed my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness,

And it was so, as the ark of LORD came into the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before LORD, and she despised him in her heart.

And David danced before LORD with all his might. And David was girded with a linen ephod.

And Jephthah came to Mizpah to his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances. And she was his only child. Besides her he had neither son nor daughter.

Give thanks to LORD with the harp. Sing praises to him with the psaltery of ten strings.

And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise LORD, after the order of David king of Israel.

And with them Heman and Jeduthun [with] trumpets and cymbals for those who should sound aloud, and [with] instruments for the songs of God, and the sons of Jeduthun to be at the gate.

And he set the Levites in the house of LORD with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of Gad the king's seer, and Nathan the prophet. For the commandment was of LORD by his prophets.

All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God; Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the order of the king.

And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets to the house of LORD.

Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the full moon, on our feast-day.

Those who sing as well as those who dance [shall say], All my fountains are in thee.

Again I will build thee, and thou shall be built, O virgin of Israel. Again thou shall be adorned with thy tambourine, and shall go forth in the dances of those who make merry.
