He will not always chide, nor will he keep [it] forever.
For I will not contend forever, nor will I always be angry, for the spirit would faint before me, and the souls that I have made.
For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy [is] in the morning.
Will he retain [his anger] forever? Will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou have spoken, and have done evil things, and have had thy way.
Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, says LORD, I will not look in anger upon you, for I am merciful, says LORD. I will not keep [anger] forever.
In measure, in sending it forth, thou content with it. He has removed with his rough blast in the day of the east wind.
None of his sins that he has committed shall be remembered against him. He has done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.
